Monthly: Owl

My primary drawing tool is an old drawing tablet I got as a gift many years ago, but from time to time even I have to resort to the less hi-tech drawing tool known as the ballpoint pen. This is an angry sketch I drew at work when my computer was failing me. I picked up the pen and made a large V-shape in anger on a sheet of paper I had lying next to me. The shape became beak and brow and then came eyes and wings. By then I had forgotten all about the computer problems and went to work on its feet and the branch.

I found this image while cleaning my desk last week and decided to scan it and emailed it to myself. I then used another tool I rarely use to color it. The touchpad on my laptop. Well, actually, I have never used a touchpad for drawing anything at all, but I think it worked quite well.
