ATC?

Okay, I am fascinated with this new ATC phenomena. Is it original art or a print? How big should it be? What kind of paper do most folks put it on? I've seen print ATC. Do tell more...

Hello! ATC's are "Artist Trading Cards". I think they are suppose to be original works of art. They can be made of any material as long as the size is 2 1/2 X 3 1/2. I make mine of canvas paper, watercolor paper, cardstock..whatever is handy.

ATC, or Artist Trading Card, is like an American baseball card, the standard size is 64 x 89 millimeters or 2.5 x 3.5 inches. It can be in any media, on any surface, but preferably on card stock so it can be mailed and handled.

Art on one side, signature and date and any other info you might like to add on the other. Unlike a postcard, this piece should be protected in an envelope.

The idea is to trade with other artists, either in person or by mail. There are conventions and many online clubs for this, the most popular being ATCards.

This is not a new thing but it seems to have caught on here.
