Unfinished Echinacea Smudge Painting

For Photo Friday Unfinished theme. This is a new smudge painting I started on my tablet last night. I use the smudge brush at a high setting to paint the colors around. By switching the saturation on and off, I can change the intensity of the colors. You guys are all such good artists you probably already know this, but I am fairly new at this and keep making discoveries I find exciting. I switch off the background layer while painting the petals or make sure that the brush is checked for one layer only, or it will take in the green--unless I want a little green. Yes, that is my hand! I took a couple pictures myself with the camera held in my LEFT hand, but they weren't so good, so I asked Biker Buddy to asssist me. I'm spastic with my left hand. I would finish this and put a bee in it for "Exchange" but I won't have time before Monday, prolly, and Monday I am leaving for a week in California and will be incommunicado all week.

Have a great arty week! Mary :-)

Mary...what part of CA are you going to? Any chance you'll be in my neck of the woods? (Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove) If so, I'd love to have you stop by the studio!
