Portrait of my better half

I would be stretching definitions into dangerous waters if I tried to call this a self portrait (or cartoonish for that matter) but it's one of my best watercolours. It's a quick sketch of my fiancé with her pet. I'm really only starting out with watercolour - I've been drawing all my life so it's amazingly difficult to switch my mindset to accept linelessness. Yes it's a word... I think.

linelessness...yep. that about describes it. this transformation from line to pure washy forms. :)

but this is FANTASTIC samuli...wonderful use of color to show the form but you aren't sying away from bolder brush, or just relying on local color.

you are really playing with it! i'd love to see more. :)

Mike: Now you're just being sarcastic, you. Master artist... It sounds nice though, maybe I should change my nick! :)
