Strawberry Shortcake is enjoying a revival right now. I remember the little ones in the plastic bubbles that would smell like their names. Not that I had any dolls, mind you! ;)
I loved Strawberry Shortcake dolls when I was little. I had Blueberry Muffin, Lemon Meringue, Huckleberry something, the little Apricot baby, their pets, and Stinky Pete...no wait, that's off Disney's Toy Story! Wrong toys! SORRY :)
Oh, I loved strawberry shortcake and still do! I watched the cartoons and I had her recipe book also. Your illo is great and brings lots of wonderful memories!
One of my favorite dolls from back in the day. I guess that would make her retro.
