I read these children’s books when I was all grown… but I simply love them! And Tove Jansson illustrations are as imaginative as her stories! So here is my illo in her style (although she does it better!)
I think Tove Jansson was one of the greatest illustrators of all time. It's sad to see the Japanese-made version of the moomins which is just a factory product.
I also think you caught the feel of the books quite well. It's not an easy thing to do :)

I'm not familiar with the original moomin, but I like your interpretation. Very cool.
Great tribute--the Moomins are the great unsung treasure of Western civilization!
