Winter Trees

Winter Trees, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. I'm in my 6th week of my water
media class, first paiting class since I was a child. This one and
the previous one are fromt he book, Watercolor for the Absolute
Beginner.

The white spaces add another level of depth to the painting. Did you use a resist to keep those spaces white...it's very appealing. I wouldn't have guessed it was from a beginner's class.

This is reallllly good Mary.. I would buy it! That would look great as a huge painting. How big is it?

Nice job! I'm intrigued with the lighter color on the right....looks like granite.
