Well, it started out as a rumor, went to panic, got over-blown, faded, and now it's back. The Orphan Works Act of 2008 has the potential to make all of your images that you have created and posted up for grabs by anyone who wants to use them, in any way they like, for any purpose, even for profit, without owing you a dime or even credit. Potential - however unlikely - means you should not allow this bill to pass. Read and act!!!

I completely agree, the Orphan Works Act has horrifying potential to undermine artists and illustrators rights everywhere, and make working in this industry even harder than it already is.
Hopefully everyone will get on board and write their representatives with their objection to this bill so artists' rights to own their own work can be protected into the future.
