New Challenges Coming Soon!

I love hosting this site and all of the wonderful artists that contribute and make it what it is. I also like to stay in the background - after all this blog is about all of us, not just me. So I don't like talking about my life unless it pertains to art and illustration - but sometimes I have to. There will be new challenges posted this Monday! I'm sorry I wasn't around - there are several reasons. Some of you know I've been fighting cancer off and on for several years and on occasion have been out at hospital. Recently, a thing was found on my lung and will need to be removed. After being healthy for over a year, this was depressing news. But it could be nothing so I'm over it, at least until it is removed and confirmed that it is nothing. I see the surgeon tomorrow to get the surgery info - I'll let you all know what happens. And I'll set this blog up to post new challenges while I'm out. This shouldn't take long - I've been through worse.

Also, I was in the Sierras for a week with my daughter for our annual Father's Day backpacking trip. So, it's not all bad news, eh? And hopefully, after the surgery, it will be all GOOD news!

Keep drawing, artists. Life is full of challenges.

Mike

Thanks everyone. I feel confident about it. I just met the surgeon and the surgery will be small - one hour operation and 2 days in hospital. Whether it's cancer or not, it will be removed - if it is cancer then a couple months of chemo. No worries. Let's draw.

So kind of you to post an update and let us know how things are going. I did not know about it but now that I do, let me offer a boatload of best wishes. Sounds like a great backpacking trip!
