Monday Artday: Painted Box

I'm stretching the theme a little by posting a building box. I know it's not furniture but it is a recycled item and functional so I felt maybe I could slide this through. My friend Paul worked at the "Beverly Hills Hotel" and when they had parties or weddings they would throw away cases of Dom Perignon boxes that the champagne comes in. They are like canvas covered rectangles. Inside the box it says the name of the beverage and where it's from in France so I covered it with a 3" x 5" in canvas with a mini bldg. painting. I really love making boxes and I have many. They are always great as gifts or to hold gifts. This would be perfect to hold one's treasures.

I love boxes too - you're so lucky! Of course, considering what you do with those boxes, you deserve them all.

Oh Val and these boxes are treasures by themselves! I love your boxes. You should sell them. I will buy.

Your box is beautiful - I like how the blue tower seems to come out of the surface. And what a great idea, to use those champagne boxes!
