Mother No.3
Okay, this is my last post for "Mother." I did this oil painting impression of my own family. I figured it was appropriate for Mother's Day - I hope these guys let me do what I want on Mother's Day - paint and not give me their dirty clothes for laundry :-)

I love your beautiful blended family! You 2 make the most beautiful children! That would be tempting to have more... If you lived closer I would have you over for a little mothers day tea. I am mother to a darling dog, does that count? This is so beautiful Ces!
You need to stop being so gosh-darned GOOD, Ces! I'm starting to develop an inferiority complex!
Val Oh Val! Sometimes I wish I had dogs instead. Okay let me explain - my son is now a teenager, so that explains it all. My daughter though is a darling. They are both very smart and spunky. My son is the male version of my young self as a child except I am not my Mother, so there's the problem. I would LOVE LOVE to have tea with you but you may be disappointed with me. I will be a nervous wreck to be in the same room with you.
Mike, you sweet dear Mike. You are medicine to my ailment. I have been insecure and unsure of my art. I am struggling with this first painting I am currently doing after not being in front of the easel for over two months. Thank you.
Oh and Val, please, I am not that young. I was an old primepara, that's what my OB said to me.
first of all, a quick note to val: you would delight in having tea with ces. she would not disappoint you in the least, and i'm sure you already know that. i do hope one or both of you might also invite me. i would try my best to behave.
:)
now to ces: you are a fantastic artist. and my best friend. and a great illustrator. bury the insecurity, girl. you've arrived.
Excellent performance!
Cata.
