I think you captured the narrative of these characters exactly. Mr Darcy looks socially uncomfortable. He he he. I love this book too, classic. Did you construct this illo as a vector?
Yes, it was drawn completely in Illustrator. I usually then take the illo to photoshop and add textures and try to get it looking more like a watercolor or other traditional media, but this one looked best without the extras.
have not read this one... but seen a few versions on the telly, hihi and I knew exactly wich book you drew before reading the title! well captured icons.
