Fiery Eyes

I often hear the description 'fiery eyes' and this is the image that pops into my head.

Better late than never. I seem to live by that motto. I went with sailor style fashion which comes and goes into vogue every other decade it seems.

Bicycle! Bicycle!

Thanks to this challenge I have the song going over and over in my head, "I want to ride my bicycle..."

Anyhow, here's my version, both as a simple and fancy silhouette.

It's been a while since I've had time to bring any theme here to fruition. Here's an attempt at Old Me... that is, if I bother to put on makeup at that age, as well as pluck out all the extra facial hair I'm sure to get and if I have enough hair left to blow dry.

Bunch of Roses

This was my first attempt at acrylics. It didn't come out quite like I had intended. I don't think I've got the feel of the medium yet, but the results were interesting...I think.

I've had this on my mind for a while and it finally came to fruition. Its a saw-whet owl, hence no ear tufts.

Getting Ready

I've been trying to do new illustrations for each theme and not reuse posts from other illo sites just to make myself work and practice more. In this case I'm disregarding that since this seems to fit "Getting Ready" so well and I did it just last Thursday for Ill Fri. Its titled "Choose One, Already!".

Favorite Book-Pride and Prejudice

This is such a fun theme and I'm just participating for the fun of it.

My favorite book is such a predictably girlie book, but I just love the story and all the irony and wit intertwined into the narrative.

This is something I did in watercolor. The few things I've posted here have been digital, but I also like to work with "real" media which I'm trying to practice more.
