Oh, MAN!!! The Giant Japanese Monster theme started out slow but you guys came on like gangbusters! Way to go!Really tough deciding. So many styles and ideas on the theme. Josh Pincus' entry is as wonderful as always and I learned a lot about Haruo Nakajima. Lots of cute ones, clever ones, funny ones, beautiful ones and scary ones. Mary's was wonderful (loved the hidden damsel in distress). Candace never disappoints. Richard's are always cool. Genevieve and Raluca - incredible! But I'm going with Cale Atkinson this time.

Cale Atkinson's sad and lonely monster was funny, beautifully executed, and amazing well thought out. Great concept! I loved the devastated city, the building windows spelling out "no monsters", and the blimp with the "go away." The helicopters, the smoky dusk, the moon, the 2-toned fire/blood color, the textures... the expression on the monster and the little guy saying "konnichiwa"! The picture is wonderful and tells a whole story. Well done!
