paris

The challenge word this week on Monday Artday is "paris".
one night in paris is like a year in any other place/one night in paris will wipe that smile off your pretty face
On July 3, 1971, The Doors' Jim Morrison died of a heroin overdose in the bathtub of his Paris apartment, essentially ending Robby Krieger's career.

When I was in high school we took a trip to France...and a bunch of kids had to go see his grave..which I thought was odd, since we were 17 in 2001. I guess the doors live on.

thanks, candace.
I never liked the Doors, but I sure do like dead celebrities.

You are soooo wrong ... Robby Krieger's career continues to thrive. He is a much sought-after guest performer at live shows in the LA area, and has been a featured guest performer on DVDs ranging as diverse as The Ramones to Particle, with plenty more in between. He has released a half dozen solo CDs and continues to write and perform when not on tour. Since 2002 he and Ray Manzarek have been touring the world as The Doors of the 21st Century, now called Riders On The Storm. Robby is alive and well and doing his own thing.

I knew there would be at least one. I'm surprised it took this long.
