And The Winner Is... Kerrie Robertson!

The winner for the "Cliff Hanger" challenge is:

Kerrie Robertson!

Congratulations to Kerrie Robertson. Great entries everyone, lots of humor and creativity! I chose the "kitty in peril" to be the winner. The scene captures the eminent danger of the protagonist and the color choices emphasize it. Well done, Kerrie.

Slug Bug

An old character design that I decided to give a make-over, and his own funnybook cover. Slug Bug was one of my first attempts at animation – a not very successful attempt, so I don't plan to ever post that one, but I'm working on a storyline for a new Slug Bug cartoon/comic. He even has a theme song, here are some of the lyrics:

He leaves a sticky trail behind... Slug Bug!
A superhero made of slime... Slug Bug!
With his Kung Fu eyes he knocks out crime... Slug Bug!
But salt will turn Slug Bug to brine... Slug Bug!

Can Slug Bug defeat those crumby Salt-Teens?... Stay 'tooned!

cliffhanger

The new challenge on Monday Artday is "cliffhanger".
You Americans, you're all the same. Always overdressing for the wrong occasions.
Action! Adventure! Intrigue! More Action! This is what you'll encounter along side Cliff Hanger as he embarks on "The Mystery of the Foreign Stuff". Join Cliff Hanger as he covertly transverses recondite continents searching for mysterious mystery. Marvel as Cliff Hanger battles savage and bloodthirsty inhabitants of uncivilized civilizations. Thrill as Cliff Hanger peculates ancient relics from lost and puerile cultures with ways different from our own. Laugh when Cliff Hanger humiliates those more substantial than himself. Cheer when Cliff Hanger kills someone — unprovoked and for no apparent reason. It's all here! America's last and only hope — Cliff Hanger! Don't miss Cliff Hanger in his latest, greatest and most implausible adventure yet — "The Mystery of the Foreign Stuff".
