Random Illo…

Hi there. This really has nothing to do with the challenges at hand, but I'm so happy The Monsoon has finally started in Southern Arizona that I wanted to celebrate with a little painting. Rain every day—or nearly every day—is a wonderful thing out here in the desert where we get no more than about 12"/year.

My take on Yecchh!…

The box and hand were from a project that I started some months ago that never went anywhere due to budget constraints. So, I added in the eyeballs and background to round out the feeling of Yecchh! I really don't like the idea of loose eyeballs—maybe it's because I use mine so much—but it really grosses me out.

Bunny

I was interested in capturing this bunny in a happy little pose—like when you think no one is watching you and you do something goofy. This is a new media for me—Derwent Graphitint pencils and watercolor paper.

In hindsight, maybe I should have added a little ipod in his hand.

And The Winner Is... Kerrie Robertson!

The winner for the "Cliff Hanger" challenge is:

Kerrie Robertson!

Congratulations to Kerrie Robertson. Great entries everyone, lots of humor and creativity! I chose the "kitty in peril" to be the winner. The scene captures the eminent danger of the protagonist and the color choices emphasize it. Well done, Kerrie.
