Girl's Best Friend

Whenever I include a dog in one of my paintings, it is almost always based on my dog, Penny. NOt because I love her so much ...which I do...but because that's the only kind of dog I can paint. She's a yellow lab, golden retriever, german shepard mix.
Actually this doesn't look that much like her...except for the color. And the sweetness. Did I mention that she is accidentally the best dog in the world?

The challenge this week is "illustrate your pet". I did this poster last year for a surf band from upstate New York. It features a photo of my cat (who has since passed on to that great litterbox in the sky).
