Old Me!

Do a self-portrait as you imagine you might look like when you are very old.

The "Ghost" challenge is over. The new challenge is "Old Me" and ends on September 7, 2009. The "Moon" challenge continues for another week and ends on August 31, 2009.

Me at 8 years old

I was 8 years old in the sixties. I loved the music. (I'd listen on my transistor radio) I also loved the Cubs and playing baseball. Sometimes my interests overlapped. :)
This is my first post. I'm so excited!

Self Portrait

I've been wanting to post on Monday Artday for a while now. Discovered today that I could put up my artwork as well. Here's a Pen & Ink that i made recently that i'm sort of happy with. Hope to be back soon with more.

Self Portrait - Dudadaze

I don't really look anything like this, but I am home alone all day...just me and my belfrey bats. (and my dog, Penny)

This is actually more like me. Me being uninspired. Usually though the bubble is crammed full with too many thoughts and ideas which causes me to have an annoying twitch. :)

i started with a simple cpencil sketch of my ridiculous mug.

and then i brought it into psd...and began to play.

lalalalalala....doo-doo-doo-dee-dee-dee...wherre am i???? i'm getting LOSSSSTT in here! lalalalala...

and somehow, i ended up with fish. i eat sushi and my kids love the aquarium and finding nemo. so, i GUESS it makes sense!

I've had so much fun creating and re-creating my self portrait over the years. My drawing style kinda evolved somewhat, but still basically the same.

Monday Artday challenge: Artist

Here's a self portrait I did awhile back. I was very, very not into correcting anything as a point of principle then. I've gotten over that (mostly) now. I think it fits, though. I call it "Portrait of the artist as young hipster".
