New Challenge - Chicken!
And The Winner Is... Master Nil Esquire!
Master Nil Esquire!
Congratulations to Nil (Michael Wayne). I chose Nil's "Not so quite right pumpkin..." as the winner for the Jack-O-Lantern challenge. Nil made a great vector vampire last time too. This Jack-O-Lantern he made is creepy-funny-cute, well executed and colored, and could easily be a great cartoon character.
Fantastic Jack-O-Lanterns, everyone! It was a battle of the digital pumpkins - I also enjoyed Andy Bauer's Jack-O-Lantern. And Josh Pincus' "Mr. O'Lantern" delivered the funny.

Honeytrap
I´m currently working on a peace-video-project about Mordechai Vanunu. This drawing is about how he was lured to Rome into a sex-trap.
Not so quite right pumpkin....
Another cartoon vector drawing with additions added to it. Used Inkscape for the vector drawing and colored it and added textures/background with Artweaver. About 4 1/2 hours to complete. 2009.
Jack O Lanterns

What kind of Jack O Lantern is behind your pumpkin?

Not Such a Were-Wolf
Not exactly a wolf of the "were" variety but at lest it likes to hide in the bushes at night and stare at people. Monsters a bit "awkward" for me and I've not been in the best of moods the last few weeks to "really draw" but did this today, randomly, and decided to share.
werewolf
Albert's lycanthropy curse was from a bloodline of a mixed marriage. His thirst for blood was equal to his thirst for a double half-caf skinny latte.

postseason encore
I posted this illustration last year at this same time. I think it deserves to make another appearance under the same circumstances. Last night the Philadelphia Phillies secured another trip to the World Series. My dad would have loved it. Again.

wolves
this is an old one. my first official piece as an illustrator- a nice switch after over a decade of selling my soul to the corporate world aka HELL. Just for the record- designing packaging for mass retail is not fun. Drawing pictures of little red riding hood? way better. *sigh* Just not as profitable.

New Challenge - Werewolf!
The new challenge is:Werewolf!
Illustrate a Werewolf! Here's some Warren Zevon to inspire you.
The "Vampire" challenge is over. The new challenge is "Werewolf" and ends on November 2, 2009. The "Jack-O-Lantern" challenge continues for another week and ends on October 26, 2009.
And The Winner Is... Clifford Shikler!
Clifford Shikler!
Congratulations to Clifford Shikler. I chose Clifford's "Among Fire and Ice, Who is Hot and Who is Cold..." as the winner for the Vampire challenge. Clifford shows a great deal of skill and expertise in his art. This painting excels in portraying terror and dread. The frightening details of the face is heightened by the rough and unfinished borders. The blue subject denotes cold death with just enough red to give the feeling of blood.
Again, as always it seems lately, amazingly wonderful entries. Lots of great interpretations. I really enjoyed Josh Pincus' "Count Dracula, the grocery bagger" - fantastic detail, well drawn and colored, and BITINGLY funny! (ouch!)
