Robot

I just finished this illustration a couple of hours ago... I started playing with the idea of creating a character Robot to go with a children's book (I got the idea from a topic posted in Monday Artday) so I created this robot who doesnt quite fit in.
In this illustration you see him trying to be part of the birds clique.
Anyway I also made this illustration for my brother's birthday I hope he likes it

As you can tell... I like red... This is a large piece 30x36.... and part of a city series I'm preparing for a show in September.

Poppies are an unusual flower. sort of a flowery representative of society?... They have bright colours.. floppy petals. They seem happy. Yet people recognize they do have their dark side. They can be decorative or useful... They can be used for good.... or "not". They are recognized internationally as an emblem for remembering. They are one of my favourite flowers. 30x30 is the size of this canvas.... This is part of the series I am putting together for September

red

The challenge word at another illustration website is "red". I did a traditional (traditional for me , anyway) drawing for "red" for illustrationfriday.com a while ago, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something different. I hand-drew the black only, in my sketchbook, and then scanned the drawing and colored it in Photoshop. This is my first attempt at full-color in Photoshop.
