Saturn's Son Devouring His Mars

I hope Mister Goya wouldn't mind ... or maybe he would? ... Ah well, he's not around to complain!

Tropical Jungle

Tropical Greens, Acrylic, Kelly A. Schwark

This one reminds me of the few years that we were blessed enough to have lived in Hawaii. If I listen close enough, I can almost hear the geccos chirping... and my heart begging me to move back!

If I were a king

If I were a king
If I had everything
If I had you and I could give you your dreams
If I were giant-sized, on top of it all
Then tell me what in the world would I go on for
If I had it all

- Dave Matthews Band

For this week's theme, Tropical Jungle

Forgetting

October

She always came at dusk, the girl with the hundred birds.
And when she sang, they all remembered the secret dreams that they thought they had forgotten.

Just a fun and whimsical painting I did after seeing a beautiful weeding party at a nearby park. The bride was dressed very similar to this and the bridesmaids had the most beautiful shade of soft baby blue for their dresses. Thought I'd share!

Illustration Friday- "Poem"

Away in a wooden shoe
Originally uploaded by chicken widget.

I painted this to commemorate our birds, when they were brand new to us.
The first part of the old children's poem:
"Winken and Blinken and Nod
one night
sailed off in a wooden shoe"
had been running around in my mind for days. And for the life of me I couldn't remember how it ended! (Still can't.) I just got the most wonderful mental image from those lines...and here it is.
