Dogs' Bath Time

When I first saw the current theme, I knew I wanted to use ©Anel, the character I've been developing.  However, I wasn't sure how I wanted to depict her.  Finally, I decided to illustrate her 3 dogs, which I recently introduced in my blog, during their bath time.

© Arnoldo L. Romero 2012
I used marker paper for my illustration and began with a quick pencil sketch.  Then, I used fine and medium micron pens to do my inking and detailing.  Finally, I used Prismacolor pencils and a regular pencil to add some color and shading.  I incorporate the drawing into my art journal, where I often use scripture.  I decided Psalm 51:7, "Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow," was the perfect fit.

I would love to hear what you think about my artwork, so please leave a comment.  I can't wait to see what other members of this blog post, so I can leave comments for them.  If we don't motivate each other, no one else may do so.  LOL!  Have a blessed week.

A few more art cards

I started these quite some time ago and had them sitting around because I didn't like the inking. I decided to see what I could do with them after all.
I'm trying to build up a collection in hopes of selling a few. =)

children's book

Here's the page 2 of a children's book that I'm still hoping to start working on again. I have titled the book - Ocean's Day Out. Hoping to create an educational book that highlights animal abuse, pet dumping, sterilization, ear-tipping, responsible cat management etc. by how Ocean gets to meet homeless street cats while he is out taking a walk. Still a work in progress so hopefully I'll manage to complete it soon...
